With over 30 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership across state and national organizations, Tom Scott is a respected force in the cyber world. He is the CEO of CyberSherpas, a vCISO firm, and serves as the Executive Director of the South Carolina Cybersecurity Association & Foundation.
Tom has led multi-million dollar cybersecurity initiatives, directed national and state task forces, and championed education and workforce development through his foundational work with SC Cyber Consortium. A former CISO for Florida and South Carolina state agencies, and an advisor to NIST, InfraGard, and MS-ISAC, Tom brings unmatched insight into securing digital infrastructures.
His expertise shapes the core of AegisX’s mission: building events that not only showcase innovation—but also foster real-world resilience.

From leading events for Open Data Science and Data Science Connect to his current role as Head of Events at CyberSC, Vimal has specialized in crafting engaging, high-impact experiences for C-level audiences and technical professionals alike. His expertise spans everything from B2B customer marketing and P&L oversight to sponsor relations and narrative development.
